The Church of St Mary & St Nicholas, in Chetwode, is host to a Music in Quiet Places concert at 7.30pm tomorrow, Saturday.
Music in Quiet Places is an annual programme of classical concerts in rural communities across the district, devised by musical director Robert Secret.
The series, which began last week, continues each Saturday, with concerts in Marsworth on May 21, Waddesdon on May 28, Thornborough on June 4, Preston Bissett on June 11 and Mursley on Concerts start at 7.30pm with a village walk at for those interested at 6.30pm.
Tomorrow’s concert in Chetwode includes a performance of the wonderfully romantic Dvořák String Quintet, which is for the combination of string quartet and double bass.
This features the highly talented double bass player Sally Jane Wright.
The concert also features music by Rossini and Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf.
There will be a village walk from the church at 6.30pm led by Charlie Clare.
