IN response to public requests an on demand bus service has been extended to include Towcester, Greens Norton, Pattishall and Daventry.

From Monday, June 18, Northants County Council will be extending the Daventry CountyConnect service to allow Towcester, Greens Norton and Pattishall area residents to reach Daventry directly and vice versa.

In May last year the Advertiser reported that residents in the Pattishall area were ditching inconvenient scheduled bus services for private hire taxis.

The service is also designed to allow better access to medical services in Daventry and Greens Norton. As a flexible bus service, CountyConnect can take passengers almost to the door of most important facilities in Towcester and Daventry, even when they are not in the town centre.

Journeys can be booked anytime between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, and between 8am and 6pm on Saturdays. The service works on a first-come, first served basis, but bookings can be taken up to seven days in advance, as well on the same day. To book, call 0845 4564474.
