Calls for 100 per cent broadband coverage across the south east have been backed by Buckinghamshire County Council leader Martin Tett.
Cllr Tett insisted superfast broadband was essential for economic success. BCC, along with Hertfordshire, has invested £18 million into their Connected Counties campaign for broadband. A contract has been signed with BT and the first green roadside cabinets are expected to go live next year.
Cllr Tett said: “In Buckinghamshire we have the highest percentage of small businesses of any county council area. Many operate beyond the reach of superfast broadband, and we must find ways to bring them all on to the digital highway.”
