A BRACKLEY charity is appealing for witnesses after their four foot long publicity banner was stolen.

Sometime over the weekend of June 25/26 the banner advertising events for the Creative Activities for the Elderly People (CAFE) was taken from the outside of the Brackley Methodist Church.

The banner measures around 4ft x 3 ft and featured the CAFE logo and was fixed to the railings of the church to advertise a fund raising concert as part of the Brackley Music Festival.

A spokesman for CAFE said: “The concert was actually held on Wednesday June 29 and went well, though not quite as well attended as it was the year before.”

Anyone with information about this theft should call Northants police on 03000 111222, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
