Bicester man fights off would-be muggers

Bicester police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward after a man fought off three would-be muggers early on Saturday morning.

The 25-year-old was walking through a tunnel in Longfields at around 2am when he was approached by three men.

The trio were forced to leave empty-handed following a confrontation.

The victim sustained minor injuries but did not need hospital treatment.

The three men were white and aged between 20 and 25 years old, and all were of average height.

One was of slim build with blond hair and wore dark clothing, while another was of medium build with short dark hair, and wore a red long-sleeved top and dark jogging bottoms.

The third man was of medium build and wore dark clothes.

One of the attackers is thought to have received significant injuries to their face and jaw.
