A 17-year-old boy from Bicester who sexually assaulted seven women has been ordered to pay £350 in compensation.

He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and given a 12-month youth referral order.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to the charges at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

The court heard that between July and October this year he approached lone women from behind and touched them inappropriately before cycling off.

Investigating officer PC Richard Blewitt said: “Although these were low-level offences, they left the victims feeling angry and vulnerable.

“I am pleased he admitted the offences, which meant the victims didn’t have to go to court, and he now realises how serious his actions were.”
