Burglar leaves empty handed after asking to spend a penny

A SUSPECTED distraction burglar left empty handed after asking to use the toilet at a home in Brackley last weekend.

At around 7.50am on Sunday, August 28 women knocked on the door of a home in Bridge Street and asked to use the toilet.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: “The woman was then seen coming out of the toilet and going towards one of the bedrooms instead of back down the stairs. The woman was challenged and left the building. The suspect then got into the back of a dark vehicle with three other men before driving off. The bathroom cabinet was searched, however nothing was stolen during the incident.”

The resident described the women as white, aged in her early 20s, 5ft 1in tall, with a slim build, and shoulder length blonde hair. She was also wearing dark jeans and a blue t-shirt with a Vodafone logo on the chest.
