Thieves stole a Landrover, then returned in it to steal guns from a business.

Police are hunting for the burglars, who took the 4x4 and later air rifles and BB guns from the firm in Great Horwood.

Four men broke into the grounds of the premises in Singleborough Road and stole a Landrover Discovery.

Around 90 minutes later they returned and used the Landrover to force open the metal shutters of an outbuilding.

The men stole two long barrelled air rifles and 10 airsoft BB guns from inside.

It happened on Thursday 14 May sometime between 9.55pm and midnight.

PC Sarah Lewis from Aylesbury CID said: “The offenders broke into the business premises and stole a number of guns which were being used for recreational activities.

“These guns could be offered for sale. I would ask anyone who saw anything or who has been offered guns such as those described to contact police immediately.”
