BURGLARS stole jewellery and electrical items after forcing their way into a home in Bicester.

The family was on holiday when the thieves broke into the home in Priory Road on January 24 or 25.

Burglars got around the back of the house and tried to get in through the patio doors, before eventually forcing the kitchen window open.

Jewellery and items including a silver iPod Nano, a Toshiba laptop and a black Nintendo Lite were stolen.

The thieves left by the front door, which they left slightly ajar.

Thames Valley Police has appealed for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to come forward.

Anyone with any information about the burglary should contact Det Con Mark Personius at Banbury Police Station via the 24-hour non-emergency number 101.
