Have you say on crime fighting priorities

PEOPLE in south Northants and Daventry being asked if they are happy with the way crime and anti-social behaviour is dealt with in the area.

The Daventry District and South Northants Community Safety Partnership is running a series of ‘Have Your Say Days’ and will be asking members of the public for their views on what priorities the partnership should be focusing on.

People will be asked to complete questionnaires at the events, which are being held in Daventry, Brixworth, Weedon, Brackley and Towcester.

The Have Your Say Days are being held at the following dates and locations:

November 18 – Brixworth Library: 11am to 1pm; The One Stop Shop in Church Street, Weedon: 1pm to 3pm.

November 19 – Waitrose in Daventry: 11am to 3pm

November 24 – Waitrose in Brackley: 11am to 3pm

November 25 – Waitrose in Brackley: 11am to 3pm

December 1 – Waitrose in Towcester: 11am to 3pm

December 2 – Waitrose in Towcester: 11am to 3pm

An online version of the questionnaire will also be available to complete at www.daventrydc.gov.uk/csp-consultation.

Ian Vincent, chairman of the Daventry District and South Northants Community Safety Partnership, said: “These events will allow residents to tell us what their concerns are and where the Partnership should be focussing its efforts. The results of the consultation are very important and form our strategy for reducing crime, disorder and antisocial behaviour in the Daventry District and South Northants area, and I would encourage as many people as possible to complete a questionnaire either online or at one of these events.”

The Community Safety Partnership inlcudes Daventry District Council, South Northants Council, Northants County Council, Northants Police, Northants Police Authority, Northants Fire & Rescue Service, NHS Northants and the Probation Service to reduce crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour.
