A PIONEERING finger printing technique, partly developed in a Greens Norton cellar, has been turned into a device which can now been sold around the world.
The technique invented for Northants Police by Dr John Bond from Greens Norton allows finger prints to be taken from spent bullet casings. Consolite Forensics have developed a machine based on the technique which can be easily operated by police forces anywhere in the world.
Dr Bond said: “Since the technique was devised police from all over the world have been sending cartridges from unsolved murders.”
The technique was among Times Magazine top 50 inventions of 2008.
