Man charged with three sex assaults

AN 18-year-old man from Ambrosden was due to appear at Oxford Crown Court this morning, Friday, charged with a rape and two sexual assaults in Bicester.

Ryan Lockyer, of no fixed abode, went before magistrates in Oxford on Saturday morning and was remanded in custody following attacks in November, March, and earlier this month.

The charges relate to a rape near Bicester Cottage Hospital in Piggy Lane on November 27, a sexual assault near The Oval in George Street on March 12, and another sexual assault in an alley off London Road on May 10.

Det Insp Steve Duffy, leading the investigation for Thames Valley Police, said: “I would still like to appeal to anyone who has witnessed anyone acting suspiciously or inappropriately in Bicester to come forward and speak to me.”
