A Buckingham man has been fined after dropping a carrier bag of litter from his car.
Daniel Allen, aged 24, of Addington Road, pleaded guilty at Aylesbury Magistrates’ Court on May 8 to an offence of dropping litter.
In October, an officer from the Waste Partnership for Bucks visited Carters Lane, near Quainton, in response to reports of dumped waste.
Litter found dumped along the road included a full shopping carrier bag which was traced back to Allen.
Allen admitted dumping the carrier bag from his car as he drove along Carters Lane.
He said he had bagged up the waste from within his vehicle and remembered throwing the bag out as he drove home. He expressed regret for his actions.
Allen was fined £285 and ordered to pay clean-up and prosecution costs of £500 and a victim surcharge of £28.
