A MAN was punched to the ground outside a Buckingham take-away in the small hours of Sunday morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were assaulted in the incident.

The pair were standing outside Roosters, in Buckingham’s High Street, at 12.40am, when two men walked past.

After words were exchanged, the two men turned back and punched both the men standing outside the take-away and then ran off.

One of the victims was knocked to the floor and was temporarily unconscious, while the other sustained a bloody nose.

The two offenders are white, between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in tall and were wearing jeans and light-coloured hooded tops.

PC Jamie Mulliner, leading the investigation, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who was driving or walking in the area of High Street, Buckingham, between 12.30am and 12.45am and may have seen the incident.”

Contact PC Mulliner on the non-emergency number 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
