Police have appealed for information after an attempted robbery in Upper Heyford yesterday, Monday.

At 8am, a member of staff at a business in Heyford Park was approached by three men outside.

They assaulted him and entered the building, where they tied him up and demanded cash.

The men searched the property before leaving empty-handed. They all had their faces covered and drove off in a white Ford van.

Det Insp Andy Thompson, from North Oxon Force CID, said: “This was an offence which left the member of staff very shaken.

“I urge anyone with information on this incident, or anyone who saw the van in the area at the time, to get in touch immediately.”

Police declined to give the name of the business at the firm’s request.

Anyone with information can contact police on 101.
