Seventeen year-old boy dies in M40 crash between Milton Common and Lewknor

A 17 year-old boy died at the scene of a collision on the M40 at 7.35pm last night (Monday).

The victim was driving southbound in a black Vauxhall Corsa between Junction 7, Milton Common, and Junction 6, Lewknor, when his car left the motorway and went down the embankment before coming to rest in a nearby field.

The boy, who is from Maidenhead, died at the scene.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information. They would like to speak to the driver of a Jaguar which was seen near or at the scene of the crash.

Investigating officer, PC Alan Turnbull from the Roads Policing Serious Collision Investigation Unit based in Bicester said: “A young man tragically lost his life in this collision and we would like to speak to anyone who saw this incident so that we can establish exactly what happened.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw the black Vauxhall Corsa before the incident, or anyone who saw a Jaguar vehicle at or near the scene to also come forward.

“Any information you might, no matter how small, may aid our investigation.”
