Towcester news: Charity box stolen

HEARTLESS thieves have stolen a charity box containing a significant amount of cash which was destined to improve the lives of terminally ill patients.

Sometime between 11.45am and midday on Wednesday, February 16 a man and a women walked into Olives Bathrooms in Watling Street West.

While the man distracted the shopkeeper the women stole the charity box.

A police spokesman said the box contained a significant amount of cash which had been raised for the Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes.

The money was collected over several months and was part of Olive Forster’s fund-raising trek through Transylvania.

The man is described as around 30 years old, about 6ft 2ins tall, with thin black coloured hair, and he was clean shaven.

The woman is described as around 40 years old, around 5ft 5ins tall, white, and of stocky build.
