POLICE in Buckingham are appealing for information after four sheep were attacked on a Stowe farm last weekend.
On Sunday afternoon, farmer Chris Whitehead found that four of his sheep had been badly bitten. One was so badly injured it had to be put to sleep.
The attack took place in the field between Lamport and Bell Gate on the Stowe National Trust parkland, between 2pm on Saturday, November 19 and 1pm on Sunday, November 20. Mr Whitehead said this is the first case of sheep worrying he has had for many years.
PC Nicki Tipping said dogs should be kept on leads wherever there is livestock. And she appealed for information
She said: “Were you out walking in the fields or on the footpaths? Did you see a loose dog without its owner? Can you help us to locate the dog before any other sheep are injured?”
Call police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
