Friends and family of Sally Wells took part in the annual Seven Bridges Walk in London on Sunday, July 7, to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a charity that supports people affected by sudden cardiac-related deaths.
Team Sally was led by Simon Wells, whose daughter Sally passed away suddenly last year at the age of 17.
Sally, who lived in Buckingham, was the victim of a medical condition that led to a sudden cardiac arrest.
The five-mile walk in 34-degree heat took the team across Thames bridges and past 12 landmarks, illustrating the 12 young deaths per week in young people from sudden adult death syndrome. The team expects to raise more than £2,000 for the charity.
