Two customers at a town centre pub were called upon to draw the winning tickets in a charity’s annual prize draw.

National sight loss charity RP Fighting Blindness, based in Well Street, Buckingham, held the draw during its office Christmas lunch.

Rosemary Isaac and Lynn Adams sportingly agreed to do the honours, as the charity team enjoyed their Christmas meal at Well Street pub The Woolpack.

Eight prizes, including hundreds of pounds’ worth of high street vouchers, luggage and a Christmas hamper, went to winners from across the UK, from the Isle of Wight to Kilmarnock.

Chief executive David Head said: “We’d like to thank Rosemary and Lynn for taking time out of their day to make the draw.

“The annual prize draw is always a popular event in the RP Fighting Blindness fundraising calendar and we’re delighted to have raised around £10,000 for our work through this year’s.

“We plan to raise our profile within Buckingham in 2015 and look forward to working more closely with the local community.”
