Sporting hero Hannah Barnes has been shortlisted for Sports Personality of 2014 in the Northamptonshire Sports Awards.
Nominations are being sought in 17 different categories for the awards, which are being held in Kettering on November 6. Nominations need to be in by September 19.
Members of the public can also vote for one of the shortlisted six professional athletes in the Northamptonshire Sports Personality of the Year category.
The six are cyclist Hannah Barnes from Towcester, Saints star Samu Manoa, cricketer David Willey, Cobblers midfielder Darren Carter, Daniel Keatings from Corby, who won three gymnastics gold medals at this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and teenage golfer from Burton Latimer Charley Hull.
Hannah took part in the Women’s Tour in May and received the Best Young Rider Jersey and Lymphoma Research Best British Rider Jersey.
The categories receiving nominations are: Community Club of the Year, Team of the Year, Performance Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, Performance Coach of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Primary Sport School of the Year, Secondary Sport School of the Year, Active Workplace Award, Get Active, Young Leader of the Year, Young Sportswoman, Young Sportsman, Disabled Sports Achiever, Local Sportswoman, Local Sportsman and Long Time Contribution to Sport.
