PEOPLE affected by HS2 met with South Northants Council on Monday to find out how the council will be supporting them.

More than 50 delegates from 11 parish councils in the district, and six from outside, took part in the two-hour evening event.

The meeting’s aim was to update people on the latest on HS2 and clarify the council’s role in the process.

There is also an intention to encourage partnership working between all those affected so they gain strength in numbers, share expertise and discuss concerns.

And those in attendance were also given advice on the process of seeking compensation for the detrimental impact HS2 will have on their lives.

Further events are to be arranged.
