DO you know someone who deserves recognition for their hard work in the community?

Are there any unsung heroes whose quiet work should be recognised?

Buckingham Rotary Club, in partnership with the Advertiser and Review, is looking to award its first Outstanding Citizen of the Year award and needs your help to do it.

People are being urged to put forward their nominations for the awards for someone who has made a contribution to the community and who lives within the MK18 postcode.

All the nominations will be considered by a judging panel and a shortlist of three will be selected.

The panel will be made up of mayor of Buckingham, Mike Smith, Kerry Hathway, acting editor of the Advertiser and Review, Jane Mordue, president of Buckingham Rotary Club, Anthony Archdeacon, founder president of the Buckingham Rotary Club and Don Horne, member of Buckingham Rotary Club.

The people of Buckingham will then be asked to vote for who they feel is the most deserving candidate.

The winner will be announced on June 15 and will receive a Boycott Farm hamper and an engraved shield.

The shortlist of three will be announced in the May 18 edition of the Advertiser and Review when you will be asked to vote.
