A NEW initiative called Dog Watch is being launched at the Bucks County Show on Thursday, September 1.

The scheme recognises dog walkers as ‘the eyes and ears of the community’ and asks them to report anything suspicious.

Dog Watch has been set up in Aylesbury Vale by the neighbourhood policing team, and Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) with the support of the Buckingham South Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG).

The idea is that members out walking their dogs at various times of the day can have an impact on reducing crime and anti-social behaviour across the Vale.

Dog Watch details can be obtained at the show from the Thames Valley Police, Horsewatch, NFU and AVDC Community Safety stands. The launch has been supported by Chudleys Dog Food and people signing up at the show will receive feeding information and money-off vouchers.
