Education secretary Michael Gove visited The Buckingham School and the Royal Latin School today, Friday.
He also visited the University of Buckingham to meet teachers who are training to be headteachers.
He was accompanied by Buckingham and Winslow MP and Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow.
John Bercow extended the invitation to the Education Secretary following a long period of involvement with both schools, and from a desire to see their individual efforts and collaboration to be recognised.
At The Buckingham School Mr Gove was welcomed by headteacher Angela Wells and got the chance to see students using new technologies in a maths class. He also saw a PE lesson and spoke to student leaders.
At the Royal Latin, Mr Gove met headteacher, David Hudson, and the head boy and head girl before visiting a lesson in the science department and finding out more about the school’s planned discovery centre.
