NURSERY school children in Buckingham enjoyed a comfortable day while raising money for charity during a pyjama party last month.

Children and staff at the Field House Day Nursery in Tingewick Road made £1 donations to wear their bed clothes for the day to raise money for two charities; the Tylans Project, part of the Brain Tumour Research Charity based in Padbury, and the Ikamva Labantu orphanage charity in South Africa, the nursery company’s chosen charity nationally.

Children enjoyed a day packed with activities and made their own picnic tea. They also enjoyed a midnight feast before the younger children had their afternoon nap.

Team leader Natalie Campbell said: “The children absolutely loved being in their comfy pyjamas all day and loved seeing the staff out of their normal uniforms, but they also loved the dancing activities and party games with balloons”
