THE children and staff at East Claydon Pre-School have been celebrating Chinese New Year.

Tots aged from two-and-a-half to children have created their own Chinese restaurant in their role play area and made their own rabbit ears to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit. And yesterday, Thursday, they enjoyed a Chinese feast included rice, noodles, stir-fried vegetables and spring rolls.

Pre-school leader Annette Monument said: “The children have had a really great time joining in the exciting activities and we have used the celebrations as an opportunity to teach the children about another culture in a purposeful way.”

East Claydon Pre-School is open every morning until 12.30pm and all day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Telephone 01296 712765 for further details.
