An elderly woman was airlifted to hospital last weekend following a road traffic collision in Towcester.
The 88-year-old woman was a passenger in a car which was in collision with another car on the A43 on Sunday, December 29.
Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance was called out just after 1pm and landed in a field next to the road at 1.15pm.
The patient, who had sustained facial and chest injuries, was flown to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire for treatment.
Four other people sustained minor injuries in the collision and were treated by East Midlands Ambulance Service.
