Pupils at Thornborough Infant School ended the term on a high with a performance of a play for families and friends last Friday night.

Called The Perfect Pet, the play told the story of two children, played by Sam Barber and Connie Giddings, who were trying to find the perfect pet.

Every pupil at the tiny village school had a part, as the two children considered every possible animal, from caterpillers to elephants.

“We had some very noisy elephants,” said headteacher Biddy Howard.
