BUCKS County Council has been awarded £160,000 of Department for Transport money to help children cycle safely to school.
The money has been awarded for Bikeability Level 2 cycle training for children in Year 5 and above.
Cabinet member for transport Valerie Letheren, said: “To receive such a large amount of funding is a reflection of the successful model of delivery Transport for Bucks has developed.”
Parents who would like their children trained should encourage their child’s school to submit a funding bid form to the Transport For Bucks cycling and walking team.
