Six families will open their homes to neighbours and the public tomorrow, Saturday, as part of an energy-saving initiative under the Eco Bicester initiative.
They will be showing off energy-saving measures installed as part of a ‘Green Deal’ prize draw.
Households could win upgrades worth thousands of pounds, including rooftop solar panels, high-efficiency boilers and insulation.
Cherwell District Council aims to inspire other families to carry out energy-saving upgrades, potentially using the Government-backed Green Deal finance scheme.
The six homes are on display between 11am and 4pm.
The national Green Deal scheme allows households to pay for upgrades gradually through their electricity bills.
