A pink-themed ‘80s aerobics session has raised more than £9,000 in memory of Bicester’s Bethan Reading, organisers have confirmed.

The three-hour Pink Aerobathon at Bicester Leisure Centre was organised by Beth’s Pink Ladies to raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign.

Family and friends set up the fundraising group in tribute to Bethan Reading, who died earlier this year aged 34 following a two-year battle with breast cancer.

Bethan’s sister Anna and her friend Liz Wilson have thanked all those who supported the event on June 16.

More fundraisers are now being planned by Beth’s Pink Ladies, including a 24-hour horse riding relay and smaller events such as pamper evenings, cake sales and coffee mornings. The group is also planning an event with Oxford United FC next year called Boobs on the Pitch.
