CHILDREN and adults had their frying pans at the ready on Saturday for Buckingham’s annual pancake race.
Around 30 people turned out for the race which was split into heats - under fives, five to 11s, 11 to 16s and adults.
Although there was a good turnout of younger children and adults, teenagers were few and far between.
The event made good use of the green space outside St Peter and St Paul Church with many participants hanging around to take part in the pancake lunch.
Event organiser, Tery Bloomfield, said: “It went well at the end. We were a bit worried at the beginning, but the participants soon turned up.
“It was a good venue as well.”
The under fives category was won by Jenna Wayman, while winning the five to 11s race was Ben Morten. The winner of the adults heat was won by Karl Fassnidge.
Preparations for next year’s event will soon be underway.
