F1’s Webber proves Red Bull gives you wheels

FORMULA One star Mark Webber swapped his car for a bike to promote a Buckinghamshire-wide fitness scheme.

The Red Bull driver has given his backing to the Reactivate Bucks scheme, which aims to promote exercise outdoors.

Upcoming events include football at the Winslow Centre Astroturf, Nordic walking and an eight week running course. The football sessions take place on Monday, May 16 between 4pm and 5.30pm for just £2. KAnyone interested should contact Karl White on 01908 622938.

From May 10 to 31, people can take part in a Learn to Nordic Walk course betwewen 10-11am each day. The four week course costs £20 and people should meet at Cornwall’s Meadow car park in Buckingham.

And wannabe runners can pay £2.50 a session or £20 for the whole course, which starts on Wednesday, June 8 at 9.30am. Meet at Oving Recreation Ground on Bowling Alley.

Racing driver Webber said: “Just go an do it.”
