A FATAL collision on the A34 north of Kidlington caused early morning chaos for motorists on Sunday.
The A34 was closed until about 11.30am after a green Ford Focus collided with a lorry parked in a lay-by on the northbound carriageway, north of the Kidlington slip road.
The Focus caught fire on impact, sparking a major blaze. The Focus driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and police said they were working to identify the deceased.
A second incident occurred in tailbacks caused by the road closure, and an 18-year-old woman had to be cut free from her Citroen Saxo after a collision with a Landrover shortly after 9.30am.
