Find out what library has to offer for parents and children

PROSPECTIVE parents, parents and carers and their babies and toddlers are invited to attend a Baby And Toddler Day at Towcester Library on Friday, March 4.

A range of services and providers will be available at the event from 10am to 2pm to help parents and carers find out what is available in the local community.

Services include the library service, Bookstart, Sure Start, and an oral health nurse.

The Eco Nappy Company will be on hand to provide information on its washable nappies and the Family Information Service will be present to give advice to parents and carers about childcare facilities in Northants.

The National Childbirth Trust will have an information stand.

Leaflets from other providers will also be available.

There will be a series of demonstrations throughout the day including rhymetime, storytime and baby and toddler signing.

Children and young people’s librarian Lucie Wheatcroft said: “This is an excellent opportunity for prospective parents, parents, carers and their children to find out what facilities are available in the South Northants area and they will be able to talk with professionals and providers as well as join the library.

It also demonstrates the important role that the library service provides in the community by empowering parents and carers through our partnerships with other services.”
