SOME of the most innovative business minds in the region have teamed up with Bicester Vision to provide free seminars for entrepreneurs.
The Practical Innovation events, organised by The A+ Group, kicked off last month with a session by Bybox CEO Stuart Miller.
ByBox, based in Wantage, provides a way of receiving internet deliveries on the go with a network of hundreds of secure drop boxes.
Mr Miller spoke about how lack of finances can often stifle innovation, but should be seen as an opportunity to create new money making ideas.
The A+ Group includes Placi O’Neill-Espejo of Bicester Bicester Vision, Professor Steve Cowley of the UK Atomic Energy Authority, and Tony Hart of the internationally renowned Saïd Business School at Oxford University. In January the business school was rated at being in the top 20 schools of its kind in the world by the Financial Times.
On Thursday, March 15, Tony Hart of the business school spoke about online marketing and how ‘free’ is not sustainable, even on the internet.
Frank Nigriello, chairman of Oxfordshire Business First said: “The events will feature a range of guest speakers who have each been involved in developing and implementing innovation projects across a wide variety of organisations. Great organisations are able to combine the passion of their people and ‘sexy’ products or services with new, creative innovations that deliver more for their customers.”
