Firm support for fete to keep Buckingham church watertight
Shops and businesses in Buckingham have given generous support to this year’s Buckingham Parish Church fete, donating prizes for all the events and competitions.
The fete takes place tomorrow on Saturday, September 15, around and inside the church.
It will be opened at noon by the rector, Will Pearson-Gee.
There will be plenty of fun and games for the whole family and a whole host of stalls.
Displays by local groups include Cairos choreography and dance and the karate club, and there will be music by Buckingham Acoustic Club.
There is a children’s treasure trail at 2pm. The prizegiving will be conducted by Buckingham mayor Ruth Newell at 4.45pm when the winner of the lucky flier will also be drawn.
All funds raised will go towards fixing the roof to keep the church watertight so that it can continue to be a community facility for everyone.
