Formal identification for Bicester man

A man who died after being hit by a train in Bicester on Monday has been formally identified.

The Oxfordshire coroner has opened and adjourned an inquest into the death of Marcus Rawlings, 19, from Oxlip Leyes in Bicester.

Friends and colleagues paid tribute to Mr Rawlings via Facebook and Twitter this week.

Police, paramedics and an air ambulance were called to the railway line in Howes Lane after the accident at around 1.20pm on Monday, but Mr Rawlings was pronounced dead at the scene.
