FAMILIES from Steeple Claydon and Buckingham children’s centres had fun in the great outdoors at Stowe Landscape Gardens last Wednesday.

FAMILIES from Steeple Claydon and Buckingham children’s centres had fun in the great outdoors at Stowe Landscape Gardens last Wednesday.

Children enjoyed making crowns out of natural materials in the stunning National Trust-owned gardens.

They also had fun making smelly cocktails, doing colouring activities and joining in outdoor games.

On Saturday, September 10, Stowe is holding a free Heritage Open Day.

Visitors will be able to see inside many of the temples, which are usually closed to the public, and watch actors dressed in Georgian costumes eating and drinking and enjoying the gardens in the way visitors would have done 300 years ago.
