TWO local charities will benefit from a charity dinner being held at Towcester Racecourse on Friday, March 11.

South Northants Council’s chairman, Councillor Dermot Bambridge, is hosting the fundraising dinner in aid of his chosen charities for the year – the Towcester and Brackley Units of St John Ambulance and the local branch of Parkinson’s UK.

The popular Lincoln Noel Trio will be perfoming throughout the evening at the event, in the racecourse’s Empress Suite, and there will also be a raffle and a charity auction of donated items.

Councillor Bambridge said: “I really hope that we get good support for this evening, as it will raise funds for two important local charities, and at the same time be great fun.”

Tickets are £40 per head, which includes a three-course dinner with coffee and entertainment.

Seating will be on tables of 10.

Main course options include roast leg of lamb served on parsnip mash, traditional roast beef and ratatouille-filled aubergine

Anyone wishing to book places at the event will need to telephone the chairman’s PA, Jackie Gillespie, by Friday, as this is the last day of booking.
