winislow: A name has been agreed for Winslow’s new multi-use games area (MUGA).

At its meeting last week, Winslow Town Council agreed that the community facility, which will be sited on land near Winslow Youth Centre, will be called the Jubilee Games Area, in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee next year, when it is expected to open.

The MUGA has gained planning permission and a £50,000 grant from WREN (Waste Recycling Environmental Ltd) has been approved. Further grant applications are in the pipeline.
