A total of 19 people, including children, took part in the first gentle walk organised by Winslow’s Big Society Group.
Veronica and Malcolm McPartlan led the group on a 45-minute stroll past Winslow Hall, through the Elmfield estate and along the cycle track beside the sports field, then along the High Street to the St Laurence Room for a cuppa.
Everyone enjoyed the walk, despite the rather chilly morning, and agreed it was a great opportunity to meet up with both old and new friends.
The gentle walks are designed for those who cannot walk very far, including those with buggies. The next one will start from the St Laurence Room at 10am on Wednesday, April 17, and they will continue on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
