Police officers are asking families to catch the ‘tache on their cars to support Movember this month.

Men are being sponsored to grow moustaches throughout November to raise money for cancer charities and mental health projects.

Northants Police cars are growing moustaches too and the force wants to see tweeted pictures using #MoPo on Twitter.

Inspector Ian Wills said: “It’s great that we can use our vehicles to raise awareness of Movember.

“The whole Movember movement was created to highlight the issue of men’s health and encourage people to talk more openly about the issue.

“Having moustaches on our cars will hopefully encourage men across Northants to take part by growing their own moustaches and raising money.”

Movember has raised more than £340 million across the world and funded more than 800 programmes in 21 countries, since it began in 2003.

Police cars in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire are also wearing moustaches.

Drivers are warned not to take pictures of the police cars while driving.
