The Tingewick Community Cafe is hosting a Harvest Sale at the village hall on Friday, October 18, from 9am to noon to raise funds for Tingewick Pre-school.
Various items such as pies, preserves and crumbles will be on sale, as well as patchwork cushions handmade by villager Rosemary Stuchbury.
Proceeds from the cushion sales will be donated to The Churchill Hospital’s Kidney and Renal Unit in Oxford in memory of Rosemary’s late husband, Thomas Stuchbury.
Last year the group raised £50 in order to purchase fireworks for the annual Royal Oak firework display.
Co-organiser Julie Kirkup said: “Our coffee mornings always receive good support from the village and every so often we hold a different event to raise funds for local charities.”
