Parents have until the end of January to comment on proposals to merge Five Acres Primary School in Ambrosden with its linked nursery school.
The school and nursery already share a headteacher and a governing body, and the proposed change will be administrative.
Changes will involve the official closure of the nursery school, which would become part of the primary school as a nursery class.
The primary schools’ age ranges would change from four to 11 to three to 11.
Oxfordshire County Council says there would be no noticeable change for pupils, parents or teaching staff.
Admissions will be unaffected, and children in the school’s nursery class will still need to apply for places in the school’s reception year.
