NHS Aylesbury Vale Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is urging people to have their say about ways to improve local health services at a meeting on Wednesday, November 20.
The event at in The Winslow Centre, Winslow, from 7pm-9pm, will focus on out-of-hours services, Buckingham Community Hospital, Milton Keynes Discharged Co-ordinator and Adult Community Health Teams.
The discussions will form part of ‘A Call to Action’, a national campaign inviting NHS staff, patients and the public to have an open and honest debate about the future of the NHS.
Lou Patten, chief officer at NHS Aylesbury Vale CCG, said: “At the meeting, the public will have the opportunity to share their views about the local NHS services like hospitals and community services. We want their ideas about buying health services that are innovative and provide excellent, high quality patient care despite the challenges facing the NHS like the financial pressures and increasing demand on services.”
NHS Aylesbury Vale Clinical Commissioning Group took on responsibility for buying healthcare services earlier this year as part of the Government’s NHS reforms, which aim to put more control into the hands of patients, public and frontline staff.
