Find out about support and services on offer to people with dementia and their carers next week, during Dementia Awareness Week.
As well as raising funds for the work of the Alzheimer’s Society, the purpose of the week is to increase public understanding of dementia and prompt people who are worried about it to find out more information, and to raise awareness of how the society can support people affected by dementia.
Tuesday, May 21, sees the launch of a new Singing For The Brain group for people with dementia, at Buckingham Community Centre from 2.15pm to 4pm.
On Wednesday, May 22, a Carer Support Group launches at Maids Moreton Hall from 10.30am to noon.
There will also be a street collection in Buckingham.
On Thursday, May 23, coffee and information will be on offer at Buckingham Library from 10am to 4pm.
