Help set local policing priorities

Help set policing priorities in the area for the coming year, at this month’s Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) meeting.

NAGs were set up by the Home Office throughout the UK to enable local people to address local issues of concern.

They work with local authorities, the police and other agencies to resolve issues such as drug and alcohol abuse, noise, anti-social behaviour and other matters that can disrupt the lives of the community.

Buckingham & Maids Moreton NAG is holding its annual public meeting at 7pm on Wednesday, November 26, in Buckingham Community Centre.

Residents, voluntary groups and business owners are encouraged to go along and help decide the key priorities for the NAG to address in the coming year.

The meeting will take about an hour, after which light refreshments will be available.

NAG member Carole Moxon said: “As a group, we really do have an influence – it’s not just another talking shop, and new members are always welcome. That’s how I became involved.”
