One of the UK’s youngest entrepreneurs was asked for his autograph by Sir Richard Branson live on BBC One ahead of the opening of his first shop next week.
Henry Patterson, 10, will cut the ribbon of children’s gift shop Not Before Tea in Buckingham on September 27.
But before he sees his created characters and products come to life, Henry was invited on The One Show to meet the former Stowe School pupil turned business giant.
Henry said: “It was amazing. He was genuinely interested in my business and when I said Buckingham he said he knows the town inside out.
“He said just make people smile with what you do.
“I’m really excited about the shop and we have spent ages sorting everything out.”
Henry asked the founder of the Virgin Group how best to expand his business live on air and Sir Richard said: “It sounds like you are really doing good.
“Get your current business going well first so you have some income but hats off to you.”
Henry signed his book – Pip Gets A Job – for Sir Richard and gave him a Sherb the owl washbag while One Show co-host Alex Jones asked him to send her one too.
Henry’s book features British wildlife characters which theme his products.
They include adventure kits, clothing, bags, cases and treats and can all be found in the Meadow Row store from next weekend.
